How much do you know about the inspection and testing of pump head products?

When purchasing pump products, many friends only care about the price of the product, while ignoring the more important things – product quality issues. In general, what inspection procedures do products have to go through? Today, I will introduce the testing of pump head products in our factory.

Appearance inspection

Appearance inspection operation method: mainly by visual inspection, in a well-lit environment, with normal vision, and inspected at a distance of 30-40cm from the front of the eye.

  • Pump body: no cracks, gaps, deformations, the surface of the pump head exposed to the bottle body is smooth, no bubbles, pits, spots on the surface, no serious burrs, no scratches, no looseness between the suction tube and the pump head, no suction tube falling off, no cracked, the spout has no closed mouth or gap, the sealing ring of the bottle mouth is intact and not broken, and the pump head with the lock should be in a locked state.
  • Color: In line with the specified color, there is no obvious color difference, and the effect is consistent with the sealing sample.
  • Cleanliness: clean inside and outside, no impurities, foreign bodies, oil stains, springs are not rusted in the conduit (except for the spray nozzle).
  • Thread: no interruptions, gaps, and burrs.
  • The outer cover and inner cover of the pump can not be loose or have a gap, and can fully cooperate with the cover. The tightness is appropriate and the distance from the bottle shoulder is ≤2mm.

Supporting test

Tighten the pump head on the matching bottle body, and the bottle body and the pump head will not idle, lose teeth or slip teeth.

Vacuum test (tightness test)

The pump head is closely matched with the corresponding bottle body, and the pump head has no slippery buckle and water leakage. (measured with water try)

Specific steps:

  • Select the corresponding bottle, fill the bottle with colored water of the same weight or volume as the net content, tighten the pump head
  • Place it on the absorbent paper in the vacuum box
  • Adjust the air pressure to -0.05MPa±0.01MPa, the pressure holding time is 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes, turn on the machine to observe the absorbent paper. If there is no water leakage, it meets the standard.

It is worth noting that sometimes the test fails for the following reasons:

  • The parts of the vacuum test instrument are damaged: for example, the vacuum switch contacts are burned, the vacuum generator is blocked, the solenoid valve coil is burned, etc.
  • The water pipe or air pipe of the machine air conditioner is broken, or there is a foreign object in the pipe, which makes it impossible to form a vacuum
  • The bottle and the pump head are not tightly matched, resulting in air leakage, etc.

In the above case, you can re-test after debugging

Press test

The number of air pressure test; select the bottle matched with the pump head, after injecting the same weight or volume of paste according to the net content of the bottle, tighten the pump head, loosen the thread of the spray head, press the pump head with an appropriate force, and calculate the starting pressure. The number of times required to dispense the paste for the first time.

The number of air pressures: the matching bottle <100ml, the single pump head should be less than 10 times; the matching bottle>100ml, the single pump head should be less than 15 times.

Bounce time test

Tighten the pump head on the matching bottle, loosen the pressure head, press the pressure head to the root with an appropriate force (that is, when it can no longer be pressed down), let go, and calculate the time required for the pressure head to be fully bounced from the release of the hand. time.

Bounce time should be: < 3 seconds.

Pump output test

After the first injection of the paste from the pump head and continuous pressing for 5 times, start to take the measuring cylinder to measure, and the amount of paste that is ejected once after the indenter moves from the fully up position to the fully depressed position is the pump output. Keep it accurate, press 10 times, and take the average of the 10 injections.

The average single pumping volume is ≥022g (ml). (The spray nozzle is subject to the spray effect confirmed by both parties)

Heat and cold resistance test

Select the matching bottle, inject the same weight or volume of water according to the net content of the bottle, put it in the incubator (48 + 1 ℃) constant temperature side for 24 hours.

Select the matching bottle, fill the same weight or volume of water according to the net content of the bottle, put it in the refrigerator (-5°C–15°C) side for 24 hours.

No cracking, deformation, discoloration, water leakage, straw falling off, straw cracking and other phenomena.
